How long does a slate roof last?
A natural slate roof in Scotland can last 80–150+ years. Usually it's the nails, lead flashings and timbers that fail first rather than the slate itself — which is why a targeted repair or partial renewal is often all that's needed.
How long does a re-roof take?
Most domestic re-roofs take one to three weeks depending on size, access and the weather. We give you a clear timescale at survey and keep you updated with photos as the work progresses.
